Description

Interested in learning more about organising, campaigns and supporting volunteers? You might be our new Voice and Campaigns Administrator?

You'll be joining an exciting team that's all about empowering students to make change and supporting the most marginalised students to be heard and campaign.

Our Voice and Campaigns Administrator will play a critical part in supporting the work of the Impact and Influence Directorate and Bristol Students' Union.

This role will really suit an organised, team-oriented person and is an opportunity to learn new things if you're interested in the work of students' unions.

You might be looking for a complete career change, but you know you have the skills or potential, or you might be looking for your first job.

We're looking for someone who can get stuck in, who cares about supporting students and is up for challenge and variety.

You'll work to provide administrative and organisational support across two teams in the Impact and Influence Directorate.

You'll work closely with others across both the Liberation and Campaigns Team and the Academic Representation Team, to empower our student leaders, giving advice and guidance to them and helping support the smooth running of a wide range of exciting projects.

Your project support work will be primarily around student democracy, campaigning, academic representation and student-lead priorities. You'll be passionate about supporting volunteers and teams to deliver a great service.

You'll also develop knowledge and skills across the work of both the teams and the wider directorate, enabling you to grow and build your expertise in student voice, liberation and campaigning.

You'll have good administrative skills that you'll use to draft communications, plan projects and organise events or training.

You don't have to have worked in higher education or in a students' union before.

But we are looking for someone who is a natural problem-solver with excellent administration skills to help them adapt to a fast-paced environment.

You'll be passionate delivering a really good service and supporting others. You'll be a keen planner, organiser and someone with an eye for the detail when it comes to projects. You'll also enjoy empowering others and giving them the tools to shape their own experiences.

Our team isn't as representative of our student body as we'd like it to be so we're particularly keen to hear from you if you're Black, disabled, transgender, working class or have any other marginalised experience.

It's important to us that we diversify our team and that students see themselves represented here.
