PERFECT CANDIDATE are delighted to be partnering with a client who provide flexible, high quality solutions in electronic and mechanical assembly. Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Sales/Sales Director to join their growing team.


The Opportunity


The Head of Sales/Sales Director will develop strategic and tactical plans to achieve outlined revenue targets, building a structured route to market based on smart and efficient sales activity to a network of core market players.

They will have total responsibility for sales to the Company's UK market.


The Head of Sales/Sales Director will be responsible for evaluating the existing offerings and will have ultimate responsibility for running a visible, structured sales pipeline, focused on revenue growth, profitability with a market-driven approach.


Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver required sales team outcomes.
  • Create a structured route to market to target sectors, which evidences smart and efficient sales activity based around network of core market players.
  • Development of a structured and visible sales pipeline.
  • Implementation of an upgraded sales pipeline IT system with measurable sales output
  • Developing a more mature consultancy led sales model.
  • Develop a Sales Management System that provides business metrics such as disciplined quoting, negotiating and order input activity.
  • Sales activity profitable at point of delivery to business contribution per hour of factory time above a hurdle level, taking account of the cost of capital employed (stock).
  • Development, maintenance, and core use of standard sales pitches to top ten target sectors to enable and drive consultancy sales model.
  • Work with Marketing to develop and implement brand and corporate identity strategies, ensuring effective and targeted external messaging. Handle media and public relations activities, maximizing advertising effectiveness and return on marketing investment.

Key skills

  • Strong background and success in a consultative, technical selling model.
  • Knowledge of Miller-Heimann pipeline management or similar.
  • Experience with implementation of a pipeline management IT system.
  • Technical engineering expertise.
  • Industry knowledge and network of relevant contacts (industry meaning PCB/Electronics).
