Description
Looking for an enthusiastic Shear operator/Metal worker to work in a friendly, family run scrap yard.


The hours are 8-5 Monday to Friday and Saturday 8-1- This job role includes manual labour and lifting of heavy materials therefore applicants must be physically well and able.

Prior experience in operating a forklift and knowledge of metals preferred but not essential. Full UK driving license preferred but not essential.

A basic background check will be carried out on suitable applicants prior to job offer.

Job role requirements include but not limited to:

  • Lifting
  • Loading & unloading of various metals
  • Cleaning & sorting of metals
  • Operating shearing & bailing machinery
  • Customer service

Skills required:

  • Organised
  • Good time keeping
  • Working well in a team as well as individually
  • Good people skills
  • Must be hard working
  • Trustworthy
  • Basic reading and writing skills

Salary:
£11.50 per hour
