Description
We are seeking a trained and skilled CNC Mill Turn Setter / Operator to join our team.

You will be setting and operating our 4x Doosan MX2600ST 9 axis mill turn machines.


If you can programme as well that would be an added benefit and if you cannot we are happy to teach you.

We work on high precision safety critical components in alloy steels, Stainless steel and nickel alloys.

You will be a key part of our team


Key Responsibilities:


Machine Setup and Tooling:
Set up CNC machines, including loading materials, securing workpieces, and installing tooling and fixtures.
Select appropriate cutting tools and make tool changes as necessary.
Conduct tool offsets and work offsets to ensure accurate machining.

Need experience on MX Twin Spindle 8 or 9 axis turning centres. We have Doosan MX2600ST machines and Doosan TT1800SY.


CNC Operation:
Operate CNC machines to produce parts with precision and accuracy.
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machines in optimal condition.


Quality Assurance:
Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Conduct in-process checks and measurements to verify accuracy and quality.
Identify and address any issues that may affect the quality of the product.


Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including quality standards and production schedules.


Qualifications:


  • Technical certification or diploma in machining or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter, and Operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming using CAD/CAM software.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality parts.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc machine controls.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£18.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
