    Project Engineer Electrical Job Description

    We are seeking a Project Engineer Electrical to support our expanding Data Centre business. The successful candidate will manage construction aspects of large projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and to high-quality standards, while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Ensure work conforms to quality, environmental, and safety standards by maintaining adherence to relevant regulations and industry best practices.
    • Coordinate and control on-site construction processes to align with project plans, ensuring that timelines are met and budgets are respected.
    • Liaise with statutory and local authorities for project approvals, facilitating smooth communication and efficient decision-making.
    • Attend site meetings to communicate progress and prepare reports, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Chair and document subcontractor meetings when necessary, fostering collaboration and resolving any issues that may arise.
    • Assist in managing materials and record-keeping (diaries, drawings, safety assessments, as-built drawings, etc.), maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the project.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements, prioritizing the well-being of personnel and the protection of the environment.

    Candidate Requirements

    • Experience working with main contractors or large subcontractors, bringing valuable insight and expertise to the role.
    • Technical knowledge of electrical services, ensuring a strong foundation for managing complex projects.
    • Problem-solving skills and a desire for continuous learning, enabling you to tackle challenges and stay ahead of the curve.
    • Self-motivated with organizational skills and deadline orientation, guaranteeing timely delivery and exceptional results.
    • Effective communication skills with clients, building trust and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
    • A focus on health and safety, combined with commercial awareness, driving project success and minimizing risks.
    • Experience in data centers (desirable), providing a unique perspective and valuable insights.
    • A degree or equivalent in Electrical discipline (desirable), demonstrating a strong academic background and technical expertise.
