We work with industry leading manufactures supplying machinery to Local Authorities, Golf Clubs, Contractors, Landscapers, Estate Management and the Home Owner.

We are main dealers for many of the world's largest brands including Case IH, Ransomes Jacobsen, Iseki, Stihl, Husqvarna etc.

Our products range from smaller push mowers & hand held equipment; ride on mowers, small compact tractors, specialised turf machinery, to large tractors & attachments.

Being within a specialised industry we invest considerably in training & the development of our staff. We therefore recruit staff for the long-term not just for busy periods.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic & self-motivated person to further develop their career as a
Sales Advisor operating out of our dedicated
Horticultural / Grass Machinery Showroom based at our Wigan depot.

Role Purpose:

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day retail sales & administration within the showroom, which will include lawnmowers, chainsaws, brushcutters & other machines and associated parts & consumables.

Your role will be to ensure delivery of excellent customer service at all times, assist in assembly of showroom stock, liaising with manufacturers and ensuring the smooth running of the showroom.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Establishing customer's needs through conversation
• Building up/pdi machines for the showroom & customers
• Delivery & installation of larger machinery
• Carry out demonstrations of new machinery on customer's premises
• Generating new leads & opportunities
• Maintain up to date product knowledge of our key brands
• Attending manufacturer training either online or offsite
• Handling sales administration
• Liaising & maintaining relationships with suppliers & customers
• Work closely with other departments including parts, service & other sales representatives.
• Placing orders & chasing up pending orders
• Maintaining orderly showroom stocks
• Maintaining sales information and displays
• Ensuring departmental cleanliness

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Organisational skills & attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a busy atmosphere with the ability to cope well under pressure
• Motivated by sales and targets with the ability to upsell / generate new leads
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Demonstrable knowledge of agricultural and/or groundcare machinery preferred
• Full driving licence
• Trailer Licence (or willing to learn)
• A flexible approach to working hours is essential
• A team playercapable of working alone or with the broader Sharrocks team
• Maintaining a smart and professional appearance incorporating Company attire

Hours: 40hrs / week basic - 8.00am to 5pm,
