Description

(CRU / HS / Packing): Delivery Team Manager
Menzies Distribution are looking for a Delivery Team Manager to join our team. You'll be working on behalf of Menzies Distribution Limited and its customers. Providing a first-class service with our parcels team in Aberdeen

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Maintain a safe working environment which complies with all aspects of the company's H&S policy
Ensure all environmental control measures are in place and effective
Manage, support & develop the operational team through continuous improvement and proactive communication
Establish & maintain a harmonised people focused teamworking environment
Uphold highest standards of H&S, ensure all inductions and regular training is completed and logged
Establish, monitor and maintain agreed performance levels for all
Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers
Complete inductions with new starters
Provide training to all staff and contractors to ensure they are able to undertake their duties effectively, efficiently and safely
Ensure all staff have completed the necessary Health & Safety training
Manage the depot's operational activities to ensure efficiency and maintain customer service
Manage holiday bookings / Transport / H&S Compliance

WHAT YOU NEED

Held a full and valid UK Drivers Licence for a minimum of 4 years
H&S & FLT Leadership experience
Good computer skills
No previous disqualifications for NI, DD or DR
Familiarity with most of the streets and commercial addresses
Physically fit to meet the demands of a multidrop driving role
Hardworking, positive and a flexible attitude to work
Undergo background check and alcohol & drug test prior to start date
Preferred experience of night working
Ability to lead and motivate a team
