Oxon Park is looking for a CNC Miller to join a well-established precision engineering company in Welwyn Garden City.


Specialized in delivering top-notch service to various sectors such as Defense, Space, Aerospace, Motor Sports, Oil & Gas, and Medical industries, our client has been a First Tier Supplier to UK and Global Clients since 1995.

Due to rapid business growth, we are expanding to support our client base, leading to an exciting opportunity for a CNC Setter/Operator to join our Team in Welwyn Garden City.


Reporting to the CADCAM CNC Programmer Cell Leader, this role focuses on ensuring delivery excellence and providing precision components to our clients.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prove, Set, and Operate CNC 5 Axis Horizontal and Vertical Milling Machining Centers.
  • Identify correct CNC program, tooling, and download programs to the CNC machines.
  • Make program amendments during prove out for efficiency and quality.
  • Programming using Hypermill.
  • Create setup sheets and tool lists.
  • Report any dimensional inaccuracies to the supervisor or QC department.
  • Communicate with team members and engineering for quality improvement.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and compliance with quality standards.
  • Report problems/quality issues to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Support various departments including Engineering, Workshop, Procurement, Sales, QA/QC, and HS&E.


Requirements:

  • Engineering apprenticeship in 5 Axis Horizontals and Vertical Milling Machining Centers.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Methodical approach and good communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and openness to change.

Pay: £42,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
