Role:
Customer Service Advisor & Sales Advisor

Toughened Glass Systems is a leading rooflights supplier offering rooflight products to trade and domestic customers.

You will be working on a full-time basis and in return will receive a competitive salary. You will be working from the Harrow (Ha2) office.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Customer Service Advisor & Sales Advisor to join our team.

You will have strong and accurate data input skills and be excellent at communicating, with a friendly and professional telephone manner.

Customer service, sales and order processing experience required. Training will be provided. Analytical skills and maths skills with a proactive approach required and ability to work under with minimum supervision. No cold calling required as all sales enquiries are inbound.


A key requirement is to understand how the product supplies is measured and installed as shown on the product pages below.

Training will be provided.


Essential skills required:


  • Sales and customer service experience
  • Work independently and identify potentially more effective methods of work operation
  • Maths skills and minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and administrative skills
  • A team player, who can also work on own initiative with a proactive approach
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Computer literate. Proficient using MS office, MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn about products, product technical specifications and systems
  • Prioritise and perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
  • General office support where required
  • Ability to multi task and prioritise workload
  • Perform with frequent interruptions to manage needs of the role
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Adapt to frequent changes in workload
  • Analysing and producing basic drawings, specifications and responding to customers queries regarding measurements and installation
  • Working under pressure in a fastpaced environment

Desired skills but not essential as training will be provided:

  • Technical knowledge and experience with rooflights, glazing, glass and/or construction industry knowledge
  • Provide technical sales support to Architects, Contractors, Developers, builders and End Users.
  • Understanding of the products which we offer and the technical details of each so that accurate information can be communicated to our customers.
  • Proficient in using our systems and processes

Duties include:


  • Check supplier order confirmations align with specification ordered and making customers aware of delivery dates and delivery requirements
  • Dealing with delivery failures, customer complaints, discrepancies & issues with customers and suppliers
  • Raising & issuing proforma invoices
  • Liaising with suppliers & supply chain contacts to ensure stock availability for customers
General office administration

  • Experience of working in a fastpaced office environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience in planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent and confident communicator to both an internal and external audience in oral and written communication
  • Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills and able to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to manage a number of customers and orders simultaneously
  • Identify opportunities to improve/simplify systems and procedures
  • See the placement and processing of an order through from start to finish
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding issues, products and orders
  • Retain up to date product. Supplier and company knowledge
  • Respond positively to queries and resolve problems
  • Complete heavy workload within established time frames

Up to £26k OTE


Schedule:

  • 9am to 6pm, 1 hour lunch

Supplemental pay types:

  • Performance bonus
