PROFILE


The Remedi Cheshire team and services has been expanding over the last couple of years, and this is a great opportunity to join an exciting, innovative, and dedicated team covering various services across the whole of Cheshire.


The Administrator expected to:

  • Professionally work in partnership with Cheshire Police, Witness care and other agencies, always following GDPR policies.
  • Reviewing and allocating referrals for the Got Your Back service, Restorative Justice, and Hate Crime Victim Service Allocation.
  • Be responsible for accessing Police systems to review cases and provide case updates to practitioners.
  • You will be responsible for making regular contact with the Remedi practitioners to follow up cases, data and paperwork for files and monitoring purposes.
  • Ensure the case management system and relevant databases are kept up to date and accurate.
  • Attend regular team and partner agency meetings and produce accurate and detailed minutes of those meetings.
  • Being the main point of contact for the Cheshire Hub freephone, undertaking any direct correspondence from victims and partner agencies when required.
  • Be responsible for providing the Remedi Manager and/or Coordinator with up to date and accurate data when requested from the case management system and databases.
The skills and qualities you will need to do the job well are:


COMMUNICATION:


  • You will need to have excellent communication skills, which will involve listening and responding to what is being said so people will feel supported, valued, and prepared to engage in the service. This may also involve signposting to other agencies for support.
You will also need to always remain professional when communicating with Partner agencies, service users and colleagues.


FLEXIBILITY- You will be required to work flexible hours from Monday-Friday that meet the needs of the service.


MOTIVATION- The role is very rewarding and enables people affected by crime (both victims and perpetrators) to Cope and Recover. An ability to work on your own initiative and identify areas of administration which can be delivered and streamlined for a more effective service is essential. This is not your average Administration role, it is very fast paced and demanding at times. You will be lone working a lot of the time taking phone calls and checking in and out with practitioners who will be working across Cheshire to support their safety and providing them with risk information about cases.

There will be an expectation you always promote and raise awareness of the service positively.

We want you to be the type of person that will see this as a challenge you want to meet because when it is achieved, lives are changed.


You will need to be organized and prompt in navigating systems and providing the Remedi Practitioners and Manager with relevant information and support.


IT CAPABLE- It is essential that you are proficient in using:

  • Electronic calendar
  • Word
  • Excel
  • Microsoft TEAMS and Zoom communication platforms
  • Proficient in the use of appropriate Police IT systems (Please note, training and support will be provided in this area of work)


You will be required to record, monitor, and collate statistics and feedback gathered from service users on electronic IT systems.

Accurate and up to date information is essential.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Expenses are covered and you will need access to your own vehicle. Whilst you will be based within Cheshire, you may also be expected to travel to South Yorkshire for training purposes.
  • Internal and external training will be delivered. The expectation is that you engage in this training and implement it within your working life.
  • This role will be a hybrid role, you will be office based at Ellesmere Port Police Station whilst also working remotely.
  • Team meetings and Wellbeing time will take place monthly.
  • You will have a line manager who you will meet individually at least once a month and they will also be available during the week along with the coordinator to provide support and guidance through online and phone meetings.

  • Starting salary £18,965 (Actual £10,837) rising to £19,565 (Actual £11,180) at the end of Year 2 in role
