Summary
The Commissioning Lead will report to the Commissioning Manager and be required to provide Commissioning Leadership services to the Woodsmith project.
The Commissioning Lead shall ensure that the work performed by the commissioning team and various Vendor(s), Supplier(s) and Sub-contractor(s) is performed to the required standards, the agreed sequence, protocols and reported accordingly to ensure that there are life-time records of the activities performed.
2.
Scope of Work
The Commissioning Lead shall:
- Study and be familiar with the relevant drawings, scope of work, specifications, materials and equipment schedules.
- Liaise with the Construction and Completions Leads to ensure their understanding of the commissioning sequence, commissioning system boundaries and the dates for the delivery of the Vendor, Supplier and Subcontractors works.
- Obtain necessary information from Engineering, Procurement and others to ensure commissioning methodologies are sustainable and understood by Vendors, Suppliers & Subcontractors and will support the commissioning sequence.
- Review the Subcontractor's Inspection and test Plan (ITP) submissions for completion methodologies and, in conjunction with the Project team approve (or otherwise) such submissions.
- Develop the Commissioning Protocols in conjunction with the Completions Lead, Commissioning Engineer, QA/QC Engineer, and the End User.
- Work with the Completions Lead to ensure that the Completions Database is accurately and adequately populated.
- Ensure the commissioning plan and progress measurement is maintained in accordance with the project timeline to ensure that commissioning work is completed to the latest schedule.
- Takes guidance from the Planning Lead in terms of establishing planned activities, management of change and reporting of progress.
- Review Mechanical Completion (MC1) certification and confirm that proceeding to commissioning is duly authorised.
- Maintain the list of authorised personnel for all commissioning activities.
3.
QA Requirements
- Ensures that the commissioning work performed is in accordance with the written commissioning protocols recording any deviations and reverting to the appropriate authority (operations and engineering) for acceptance or otherwise of the deviation.

HSSE Requirements
Actively promotes and supports implementation of project safety culture, practices and procedures.

Engineering Requirements
- A suitable HSE qualification or relevant experience.
- A suitable engineering qualification.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in similar roles.
- Computer Literate (MS Office components).
