An exciting opportunity has risen for a Band 3 administrator for the Addiction Clinical Care Suite (ACCS) at St Thomas Hospital.

This post is a 37.5 hours per week.


As a frontline member of staff you will often be the first point of contact for patients or professionals contacting ACCS and therefore it is extremely important that you have the skills and experience required in dealing with telephone enquiries.

Previous experience of administrative tasks is essential.

Furthermore we are looking to recruit highly skilled and experienced in setting up, maintaining and amending patient's records held on patient admin systems.

Ensuring that all data is inputted accurately into the clinical system in a timely manner.

Responsible for being the point of contact for the service and supporting the management of referrals to the service.

Collating and capturing patient data in line with the requirements for entry to the National Drug Treatment Monitoring System (NDTMS)

Use communication skills to exchange information with the clinical and management team.

To effectively build working relationships with key individuals across a number of services.

To proactively identify any issues internally before escalating to managers and nominated clinicians for their input.

To assist with collection of monitoring results thorough coordination of the process, production of necessary paperwork, and information gathering.

Assist with arranging medical and nursing cover to ensure coverage of the service at all time. This involves short notice requests such as emergency leave request, sick leave cover and on call cover.

Assist with timesheet completion for temporary staff to facilitate correct payment.

To provide admin support to the clinical team as and when required.

To process and store leave request forms from the clinical team.

To support management with data capture and statistical information associated with the service.

To support management with ordering of non-pay stock and to monitor this against the monthly budget.

Act as first point of contact for the team to assist with general queries.


To support with any required recruitment processes for the service; ensuring accurate and up to date recruitment documentation is used, approval to recruit is obtained and interview scheduling as required.
