Business Unit Controller - Finance

Refresco UK - based Kegworth Head Office (just off M1 J24).

**Refresco, the world's largest independent soft drinks manufacturer, seeks a Business Unit Controller, to lead our commercial, customer facing finance department through this period of fast paced change and growth. The Refresco UK Finance function is under new leadership and we are in the process of organising the team to meet the challeges of our ambitious 3 year plan. By 2025, Refresco UK will be manufacturing 2 billion litres and realising £100m EBITDA.
**As Business Unit Controller you will be an inspiring people leader, acting as a strong deputy for the Finance Director when needed.

About the Role
You lead a team of 15 and report to the Refresco UK Finance Director.

Here are some of your key tasks and responsibilities:

Lead your team to develop and move from 'good to great ' where needed.
Present and interpret current and forecast information on Business Unit performance based on analysis and KPI's.
Show a clear understanding of the levers shaping business results and utilise these to realise improvements in outcomes.
Lead and enhance FP&A, management accounting, finance business partnering activity within the UK Business Unit and eputise when needed for the FD.
Own the planning & control cycle within the Business Unit month ends, budgets, forecasts, three year plans.
Provide insights, helpful context and challenge monthly reporting.
Oversee strategy and execution of tendering and contracting processes.
Undertake profitability and portfolio analysis and initiate actions that lead to improvements.
Support and prepare analysis of various projects including CAPEX.

About You

You will be CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualified with FP&A, finance business partnering and management accounting experience, having worked in a commercially facing role within a large ideally, FMCG, or similar manufacturing, organisation.

You are IT 'savvy' including being comfortable working with ERP systems and large data handling.

The critical part of this role is leading and inspiring your team and working with and communicating to all colleagues including at the most senior levels.

Building strong working relations and influencing senior decision makers is part of your DNA. You have a good mix of technical financial knowledge, commercial acumen and business management skills.
