Description

A Production Operative is required for a successful corrugated packaging company in the Skelmersdale area.

Able to work in a fast paced production environment with the ability to work as part of a team but also able to work under their own initiative.

General duties include:

Operating and cleaning production machinery
Adhering to operational procedures and production timelines
Feeding of raw materials into machinery
Good concentration and attention to detail to quickly notice errors on a production line
Conducting basic testing and quality checks
Informing line managers of faulty machinery or production issues
Adhering to relevant health and safety regulations when operating machinery and handling products
Keeping work areas and the factory floor clean and free from hazardous material

Experience of working with any of the following is desirable:

Casemaker
Printer/slotter machines
Printing and gluing machines.

In return we can offer a competitive salary / hourly rate with overtime offered during busy periods. Sociable hours, Monday to Friday, day shifts only.
