Alcohols Limited is a chemical distributor which was formed in 1955 as a subsidiary of The Palmer Group. It is a private family company founded in 1805 which is still family owned today. Alcohols Limited is also a distillery.


This role will be based at our new £22m facility in Rugby based at the Europark just off the A5 which has recently opened.

The Opportunity


This role acts as the first point of contact experience for inbound enquiries, internal account management and sales administration for designated areas.


What you will contribute

  • Manage order from point of receipt to delivery (in line with Quality Procedures).
  • Communicating and liaising with companywide stakeholders and customers on all aspects of the order process (including assessing and solving any delays and problems)
  • Ensure company property is monitored and reported on effectively and ensuring the property is maintained and returned in accordance with the terms and conditions of sale or any customer specific contract
  • Coordinate area and group administration to keep all records up to date
  • Proactively liaise with existing and new customers on ascertain forecasts and requirements. Mange daily order reporting, to know customers forecasts and daily call cycle management.
  • Work closely with the Area Sales Manger (ASM), maintaining regular and clear communication, to ensure follows up, pricing feedback and customer queries are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Set up new customers accounts, ensuring all information required is obtained (i.e Due Diligence, credit form, delivery requirements, Tropos creation form (for accounts)
  • Process incoming customer complaints and incident reports (and oversee the process and smooth reporting to the customer with the ASMs)
  • Acknowledge all customers sales and technical enquires/queries in a timely manner, liaising with the relevant departments i.e technical, ASMs
  • Arrange sample requests and communicate with the depot regarding ETA, and inform customer.
  • Price polys and 12 drum orders and with training know how to price IBCs and tankers.
  • Send out Sales Specifications when requested.
  • Communicate with stakeholders on bottlenecks, be the component that gels everything together; be the proactive internal sales member for guiding and informing stakeholders, but also use own initiative to get things moving.
