    Description

    ROV Electronics Technician Position

    Job Summary:

    This role involves installing control system upgrades to Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), Trenchers, and Ploughs, as well as troubleshooting discrepancies in specific ROV systems.

    The ideal candidate will have offshore experience with Triton XL or XLS, a ROV Electronics qualification (HNC/HND), and the ability to design simple interfacing circuits, sensor simulators, and other circuit board test loads. Programming experience of embedded controllers is also required.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Assemble and test systems on a bench for set up purposes
    2. Prepare and conduct client visit Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
    3. Commission FATd systems in Client ROVs at client premises or vessels worldwide

    Key Requirements:

    • Offshore experience with Triton XL or XLS
    • ROV Electronics qualification (HNC/HND)
    • Ability to design simple interfacing circuits
    • Ability to design sensor simulators and other circuit board test loads
    • Programming experience of embedded controllers
