Responsibilities / Position overview:

We are seeking an experienced health economics professional to join our HEOR team and serve as a Principal Health Economist within Lumanity Value Access and Outcomes, which serves our clients by identifying, substantiating, and conveying the value of ground-breaking medical advances.

This is a fully remote opportunity with the option to work in any of our offices if preferred._**The Principal Health Economist will lead client-facing project delivery by taking a strategic and technical leadership role on economic modelling and multi-disciplinary projects including global evidence generation, and health technology assessment submissions.

As Principal you will serve in a leadership capacity with the Health Economics Analysis team with involvement in decision making and business planning.

The Principal Health Economist will also lead the design and development of transparent and user-friendly economic models throughout the product life cycle, and lead the development of technical reports, user guides, and summary decks.

This role will also take an active role in business development to include identifying new business opportunities and proposal writing.


Qualifications:

  • A relevant undergraduate degree (Masters degree or PhD preferred) and experience in the handson design and construction of economic models within the pharmaceutical industry or academic environment
  • Demonstrated experience of having designed and built at least 10 cost effectiveness and/or budget impact models from concept to conclusion
  • Experience developing HTA reimbursement submissions or developing costeffectiveness or budget impact models for global use
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills and comfort liaising with technical and nontechnical clients (both internally and externally)
  • Experience programming individual patient simulations or discrete event simulations (preferably in R or VBA)
  • Experience programming economic models using R
  • Experience analyzing real world data
  • Experience with analysis of clinical trial data for use within health economic models, e.g. survival analysis, qualityoflife analysis, and combinations of randomized controlled trial and nonrandomized controlled trial data
  • Published work in peerreviewed journals and/or presented at conferences
