We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and reliable
Maintenance Operative - Electrical & Controlsto join us on a permanent,
full-time basis working
at our
Manufacturing division on site in
Redditch.



As a Maintenance Operative - Electrical & Controls, your duties will include:

  • Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance of production and mixing equipment to ensure they are running to the expected productions rates, quality and costs
  • Identify via the planned preventative management system, required parts and ensure appropriate stock is in place, including appropriate spare parts in the event of repairs/failure
  • Propose continous improvement initiatives in order to optimise safety conditions, quality and production costs
  • Ensure all relevant records of maintenance activities carried out and planned are appropriately and accurately maintained
  • Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment. i.e. ensuring the working areas are kept at the expected levels of cleanliness standards during and after working hours e.g. storing tools and equipment in a safe manner and inthe correct place, ensuring correct PPE is always used

What we are looking for in our ideal Maintenance Operative - Electrical & Controls:

  • You must have a minimum Level 4 qualification in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering or equivalent proven experience and have a working knowledge of the 17th edition wiring regulations (BS7671)
  • You will already specialise in electrical engineering, therefore be able to interpret engineering and electrical drawings and manuals
  • You will need to have exceptional attention to detail skills, be logical in your approach, be able to make sound decisions and results and safety focused
  • You will be an excellent team player and be able to build strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
Having good communication skills is fundamental in this role

  • You will have experience gained from working in a similar role within a manufacturing / industrial environment.
Experience of PLC's and automation is desirable.
