Description
We are a leading global supplier of business solutions for the industrial supply industry. We are currently seeking an Assembly Operator to join our team in Braintree.


Position Summary:


As an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely assembly of order packages and products at our Braintree location.

This position will also assist in the process of packing and shipping of orders, as well as participate in daily production tasks.

The Assembly Operator will work closely with the Production Team to ensure that all orders are packed and shipped accurately and efficiently.


Key Accountabilities:


Assist in the accurate packaging and shipping of orders, as well as participate in the process of packing and shipping of orders, as directed by the Lead Assembly Operator.

  • Processes all orders accurately according to company standards
  • Keeps area clean and organised at all times.
  • Follows all safety procedures set up by the Company.
  • Assists with warehousing area when needed.
  • Assists with warehouse storage when not working on production tasks.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Locating goods inward in the racking, recording locations, and checking stock regularly.
  • Processing orders to be dispatched via various couriers.
Experience / Skills

  • Basic computer and maths skills
  • Good work ethic, good attitude and focused.
  • Work bench assembly experience
  • Ability and enthusiasm for learning new skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to follow direction and produce good quality work
  • Forklift license would be useful but not essential.
  • Manual handling,
  • Demonstrate an awareness of health & safety within the workplace
  • Perform quality inspections of products to evaluate quality prior to delivery
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independence, whilst also working as a team
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions and keep accurate records
  • Maintain effective communication with management and peers
  • Ensuring all production activities are monitored to minimise downtime and scrap levels.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£22,880.00-£24,500.00 per year
