Customer Service Executive - Technology and Software Systems.

Full time - Hybrid, 3 days in office, 2 days at home - Farnborough

Circa £24,000 - £27,000 depending on experience + Fully Comprehensive Benefits and Career Development.


Applause IT are looking for a Customer Service Executive to join a market leading bespoke software solutions provider, powering the performance of government and industry, driving productivity and a better experience for everyone.

This is ideal for anyone located in the western home counties:
Hampshire, Surrey borders near Farnborough, Woking, Guildford, Bracknell and surrounding areas.


This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a customer service background to become part of our clients Customer Operations team, taking on a diverse and fulfilling role.

This opportunity not only provides avenues for further training but also sets the stage for a rewarding career.


Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • The customer base ranges from one-time domestic purchasers to regular business users who rely on their services daily.
  • Ensure resolution of customer issues or escalate them within the business when necessary.
  • Support the sales team by generating quotations, delivering them directly to customers, raising invoices, and processing payments and contracts as required.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to obtain quotes and process orders.
  • Attend Support team meetings and regular Sales/Marketing/Support team meetings.
  • Gather valuable feedback and communicate it to the Head of Customer Operations to contribute to ongoing improvements in our products and services portfolio.
  • Maintain a high standard of administration in our systems, involving tasks such as adding new users, updating office locations, managing billing details, and adjusting account permissions.

The successful Customer Service Executive should have the following experience & attributes:

  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • with strong written and verbal skills in English.
  • Previous experience working in a Customer Support/Admin focused role.
  • Can do attitude
  • Attention to detail when completing tasks and inputting data.
  • Skilled MS Office user.
  • Experience of Sales Admin in any kind of Software or IT services setting is ideal, but not essential. Will consider other B2B/B2C Customer Service Experience also, and provide training.
  • Previous experience of Salesforce, or other CRMs would be beneficial.
