The Opportunity

You'll be:


  • Leading and coaching QC & QA team managers & their teams to carry out quality control & assurance activity
  • Working as a member of the Line 1 risk management team, to support Head of Risk & operational senior management to maintain a robust control environment across the operation & relevant support areas
  • Support development of colleagues across the operation to continuously improve customer service and outcomes through effective and constructive feedback and reporting
  • Analysing quality control & assurance findings and providing an expert assurance view on trends or themes on quality or conduct matters to senior management across Customer Operations
  • Deliver timely, accurate and meaningful reporting of QC and QA reporting to senior management and key governance forums
  • Supporting the development of appropriate checklists and testing approaches in line with the Quality Framework, to enable ongoing assurance or adhoc deep dive activity and ensure appropriate governance followed
  • Communicating with and influencing key internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to handle challenging & technically complex conversations

Other information about the role:


  • This is a permanent role available on a full time basis
  • Our working hours are 35 hours per week,
    Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm (flexible hours available) so
    no evening or weekend shifts that would impact on your family and social lives
  • The salary for the role is £40,000 £50,000 based on skills and experience
  • We are based in Edinburgh City Centre so easily accessible by train or bus and car parking is available nearby.
  • Have experience of leading risk or quality teams in a financial services environment
  • Have a strong knowledge of Quality Assurance and experience to support this
  • Can demonstrate sound knowledge of Risk Management practices
  • Can provide evidence of Stakeholder Management skills
  • Are results focused with a strong work ethic
