We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator/Procurement and Project Support Officer within the Unified Communications team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The role is based in the Unified Communications department, working in a small team, supporting and reporting to the Contracts and Finance Manager.

Main duties of the job

To provide a professional, effective, efficient, proactive and responsive administration service, and provide project and procurement support within the Unified Communications team, supporting in the delivery of services to the Trust

To manage a diverse workload, effectively ensuring the Operational Back-Office runs smoothly and efficiently to agreed processes and standards.


To ensure all project and procurement works are delivered in a timely and professional manner and delivered in accordance with agreed processes within budget.


To work in a professional manner ensuring a qualitative and comprehensive service is delivered that meets the expectations of the Deputy Operations Manager and the Contracts and Finance Manager.


  • To represent the Unified Communications department within the Capital, Estates and Facilities Management Division and within the wider Trust.

Qualifications:

Essential criteria

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience including:
  • Maths GCSE pass at Grade 4 or above
  • English GCSE pass at Grade 4 or aboveDesirable criteria
Minute Taking qualification

  • Project qualificationExperience

Experience of working in an office environment

Experience of creating office based processes

Data entry and production of management information and ad-hoc reports

Customer Service and dealing with enquiries in difficult situations

Prioritising, planning and organising own tasks

Working within guidelines

Experience of producing documents to a high standard

Experience of IT packages including Microsoft Office

Secretarial and/or administrative experience including diary management, coordinating and arranging meetings, minute taking and developing templates

Experience of managing a project or work package

  • Complex administrative experience including data input and analysis of data, producing reports and working with documentation systemsDesirable criteria
Previous experience working in the NHS

Experience of working within PRINCE2 framework
