Job descriptionOverall Purpose
Working within a continuous improvement environment, responsible for the maintenance, repair and performance improvement of fully automated process and block making equipment.
Maintenance Tasks
To ensure the following tasks are carried out as and when required:
- Day to day maintenance of all plant machinery
- Perform planned preventative maintenance tasks
- Ensure that all logs and job sheets are filled in as required
- Identification and ordering of parts and materials as required
- Work along side other engineers to combine a great deal of initiative and enthusiasm to resolve all faults and issues
- Hosting and control contractors in line with site operative procedures
- Working on machinery
- Repairing bearings, chains, taper lock brushes, oil seals, packing of glands
*General servicing of machinery
- Pumps & gearboxes
- Various Pneumatics
Safety
- Ensure compliance with the company's Quality and Environmental Management System and Health and Safety Policies
Qualifications
**Trained Engineer /Technician qualified to NVQ standard in relevant engineering, discipline preferred
*Experience of working in a continuous production environment
Skills and experience
Previous experience of working in a maintenance role with experience of PPM, fault finding and diagnosis of faults
Salary:
£35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
