BDUK is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,800 people in the UK.

BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK Defence customers including E-7 AEW&C, P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, C4ISTAR Services, Through Life Support for the Chinook and Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services.

This is a full-time role which can be based at Bristol, Lossiemouth, Odiham or Middle Wallop. The expectation would be a hybrid work pattern with 3 days per week on site with some travel.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Uplift of the MOE and associated key documents/processes to incorporate planned and emergent changes to BDUK's MRP Part 145 Approval, including regulatory changes, sites, maintenance activity scope/capabilities, aircraft platforms and Safety and Quality Management Systems, during an exciting period of significant growth and change for BDUK
  • Process for change impact assessment against MAA Regulatory Article Notices of Proposed Amendment and Authorised Amendment (NPA/NAA), including the generation of new or amended processes for BDUK and impact statements and financial or other penalty statements to the Authority
  • Process for change impact assessment against Boeing Corporate Policies and Processes Notices of Proposed Amendment and Authorised Amendment (NPA/NAA), including the generation of new or amended processes for BDUK, impact statements and financial or other penalty statements to the business
  • Review of existing BDUK processes for aircraft maintenance and modification and drive process coherence, waste reduction, good practice and innovation across multiple sites and platforms. Contributing to the development of best practice and standardisation across BDUK MRP Part 145 organisation and develop solutions in line with company objectives.
  • MAOS and other regulatory/specialist/general support across BDUK Operations and other Functions and Programmes as required.
  • Assist safety and quality investigations as required.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Experience leading technical activities in an aerospace scheduled maintenance and modifications environment
  • Knowledge of Military Aviation Authority Regulatory Articles will be an advantage
  • Ability to interact with senior military and company officials
  • Work independently under some time constraint and pressure
