We are working with a fantastic Primary Autism and Speech and Language resource base in Kensington and Chelsea who need ambitious, warm and friendly staff like you to join them.

**About the role

  • Learning Support Assistant**You will be working with Primary aged students (311years) with Autism and an EHCP statement of SEN within this excellent mixed mainstream Primary school's resource provision. Many students within the provision also have severe speech and language communicationneeds (SLCN) and so are helped with aids such as PECS and Makaton to help them communicate with both staff an their peers so experience using nonverbal communication tools are highly desirable for this role. On a day to day basis you may be allocated to supporta pupil with exceptional Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities on a one to one or group basis. You will work under the class teacher to help deliver programmes to students with additional needs. Your role may at times include elements such as personalcare and behaviour management so experience in these areas is desirable.
**About the school

  • Learning Support Assistant**The school are a mixed Primary school based close to Sloane Square who provide education to approximately 400 students. They are well known as being a highly inclusive school who believe in providing access to high quality inclusive education for all students.

The school has a specialist provision for students with a range of SEN needs including Autism and Speech and Language Communication Needs.

Within the provision there are a host of specialist staff to support students with additional needs including OccupationalTherapists, Speech and Language Therapists supported by the Learning Support Assistants and a dedicated mental health Team.

All students are supported whatever their need to ensure they are able to succeed within the school.
