We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Team Leader to join our team.

Our Milestone Living services provide care and support for children, young people aged from 8 years to 18 years. We aim to empower young people to live healthy and active lives, learn to reach their full potential.


In your role as Team Leader, you will; lead, inspire and motivate the team to deliver meaningful support to young people to achieve positive outcomes.

Your role as a Team leader is a dual role that is split between offering direct support to the young people while undertaking organisational tasks and administrative tasks.

You will have responsibility for rota management, lead on shifts, support staff in their personal development and assist the Registered Manager with the day to day running of the service.


You will make a difference by:
Providing direct line management to a team of residential staff to deliver high standards of care.

Support staff team development through training opportunities, staff supervision and appraisal, and multidisciplinary working.

Leading shifts and working with the Registered Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policy and procedure.


Work to achieve positive outcomes for individual children and young people and contributing to the achievement of an outstanding, good or equivalent rating in external inspection including managing in the absence of the Registered Manager.


You will need:


To be SSSC registered, HNC Social care & SVQ Children and young people (or equivalent) and SVQ4 in leadership and management or (willing to work towards).

Previous experience of supervising staff and coaching and supporting staff to reach a competent standard.

Experience of working with children and young people with learning disabilities.

To be able to effectively and safely deal with children and young people with challenging behaviour.

An understanding of attachment and trauma informed care

Good knowledge of Safeguarding and keeping young people safe.

Ensuring all policies, procedures and protocols are upheld and followed by your team in line with placing Local Authorities and the SSSC


Requirements:


  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Ability in IT skills and record keeping.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Shift Pattern:

Shadow and support shifts including backshifts and if needed to cover shifts.


Salary:
£26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
