As a Customs Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base and increasing revenue.

Beyond offering customs clearance services, you will leverage your expertise to provide consultancy and advisory services, ensuring our clients receive comprehensive support in navigating the complex customs landscape.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, opening doors to new business opportunities.
  • Follow up on customer leads and inquiries, demonstrating your commitment to providing outstanding service.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotes, showcasing your attention to detail and dedication to meeting customer needs.
  • Generate crossselling opportunities by obtaining referrals from existing customers.
  • Stay up to date on all customs legislation, ensuring our clients benefit from the latest insights and compliance strategies.
  • Conduct client visits, either face to face or through video calls, showcasing your excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Represent our company at industry events and trade shows, networking and promoting our services.
  • Utilize our existing database to identify potential opportunities and nurture client relationships.
  • Offer expert guidance to our customers, leveraging your technical knowledge to drive their success.
  • Ensure all information is accurately recorded in our CRM system, maintaining meticulous records of client interactions.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in developing new business within the customs sector is desirable, showcasing your entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A strong working knowledge of current and past customs rules and regulations, enabling you to navigate complexities with ease.
  • Practical expertise in import and export processes, trade procedures, and documentation, ensuring smooth operations for our clients.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, allowing you to connect with customers at all levels.
  • Experience using a CRM system, empowering you to effectively manage client relationships and sales pipelines.
  • Highly organized with exceptional prioritization skills, enabling you to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
