JOB DESCRIPTION:

To successfully drive sales within the reservations team, by setting targets and monitoring success rates, and by coaching and development of team members

  • Help to assist team members each morning to prioritise workloads and allocate jobs to staff members.
  • Ensure a rota is in place to cover all shift patterns.
  • Creating and implementing staff personal development plans
  • Strive to boost productivity whilst maintaining a high level of staff morale.
  • Drive and lead process improvements ensuring teams sales targets are achieved
  • Take on new projects and process effectively and efficiently.
  • Work closely with the Group Operations Team Manager to ensure a smooth 5star customer journey from start to finish.
  • Work closely with the systems team to escalate any system faults and work with the sales team to communicate these to agents if needed.
  • Deal with escalations from Team and investigate any errors to minimize costs
  • Assist with Training / Training Plans & Recording of staff achievements.
  • Communicate effectively with other teams within Tour Operator Partnerships and the wider business if required
  • Assist with the training of Tour Operators with regards to systems
  • Monitor service levels and report weekly
  • Recognise market trends and utilise the information to increase figures and brand awareness.
  • Monitor the team's writeoff and potential write offs and report Monthly

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Previous Reservations team management experience is essential, along with working in an operational sales environment with monthly targets. Ideally you will have worked in a flights or groups department with solid knowledge of airline GDS.

Starting Salary is £30k pa (possible room for negotiation dependent on experience).
