What you'll be doing


We are looking for a Finance Assistant, to provide support to the Financial Accounting and Corporate Finance functions at CHP to enhance the quality of financial management and control.


  • Support the Financial Accounting and Reporting team along with the Corporate Finance team at CHP to help build and deliver excellent accounting practice, compliance, corporate finance and management accounting services at CHP.
  • Support the preparation of management accounting reports including cash flows and forecasts, to enable these to be used by CHP Directorates to drive their strategies.
  • Provide insights and analysis relating to the financial health of CHP.
  • Investigate specific areas of financial compliance, e.g. meeting VAT requirements, as directed by the Finance leadership team.
  • Support activities to continuously improve accounting practice, standards and compliance at CHP.

Requirements:


What we're looking for

  • Educated to minimum level 4 GCSE/O Level at Grade C or above or equivalent;
  • Experience in a relevant financial role.
  • Good knowledge of financial legislation and practice.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently seeking guidance where appropriate.
  • Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel.

The salary for this post will be £25,900 Per Annum:
