    Principal Engineer, Pipelines
    At Eni Progetti UK, we are seeking a Principal Pipelines Engineer to support our worldwide projects. This role will provide technical leadership within the Pipelines discipline and be part of our project engineering group in Basingstoke, UK.

This presents an exciting opportunity to develop skills in new technologies on dynamic projects as we move towards a 'net zero' future.

    Our SmartWorking policy allows personnel to work up to 12 days/month from home or a secure location, promoting flexibility and work-life balance.

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform engineering design activities for onshore and offshore pipelines in all project phases.
    • Be the Project Design Lead on large projects, managing a team of discipline engineers and designers.
    • Supervise and review pipeline activities, including routing studies, mechanical design, stress analysis, and more.
    • Support CAD Designers in executing layouts and project pipeline drawings.
    • Prepare datasheets and technical requisitions, and perform bid evaluations.
    • Validate pipeline inspection and maintenance strategies and emergency repair plans.
    • Perform site visits to manufacturers and check third-party installation activities.
    • Act as a technical specialist for pipeline design activities.
    Skill Requirements:
    • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry with respect to rigid offshore and onshore pipelines.
    • Knowledge of software such as DNVGL pipelines design suite.
    • Knowledge of Ansys, ABAQUS, and Orcaflex is desirable.
    • UK and international specifications and codes knowledge is desirable.
    • Highly motivated with great interpersonal skills.
    Qualifications:
    • Ideal degree qualification in Pipeline Engineering, Subsea Pipeline Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
