37.5 Hours per Week (Including Out of Hours Working)

JOB PURPOSE


As a member of the Hospice Income Generation Team you will play a key role in marketing the profile of Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare.

You will be highly motivated to develop an understanding about the provision of high quality care provided and the vision and values of the organisation.

You will work with fundraising, retail, clinical and volunteer teams to promote their work and key events.


Directly reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager you will be part of a team that focus upon Lindsey Lodge income generation.

You will also support in promoting our strategy in relation to hospice engagement.

You will be involved in the marketing of projects and work streams which will impact the sustainability of the hospice, helping build strong and effective links with the local community to further raise awareness and understanding of Lindsey Lodge Hospice among audiences in North Lincolnshire by providing regular information to newspapers, broadcast and internet media.

You will be responsible for producing marketing and promotional materials and creating content to optimise the LL website.


SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

General

  • Promote the work and values of Lindsey Lodge Hospice locally, regionally and nationally to ensure that stakeholders understand the quality and full offering of the Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare service provision
  • Liaise with executive team, operational mangers and external stakeholders to determine communications and marketing priorities for the hospice
  • Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager to ensure communications and marketing plans are aligned to hospice priorities including patient care and income generation
  • To contribute to Lindsey Lodge digital communications activity by providing content and conversation in line with the organisations strategies for such communication that maximises the potential for awareness engagement and income generation opportunities by collaborating effectively with colleagues
  • Act as a brand guardian by ensuring consistency across internal and external communications
  • To provide support to other hospice teams to foster effective communication strategies
  • Identify issues that could potentially damage the organisations reputation and recommend actions to mitigate risk and work with other team members to provide communications assistance particularly in the event of an emergency
  • Ensure all written materials align with the hospice vision, mission and brand voice
  • Stay up to date with digital marketing trends and help increase online visibility and engagement
  • To provide lead support to the Marketing & Communications Manager with monitoring social media analytics and adjusting strategies to maximise online performance
  • Create visually appealing graphics and images for various marketing campaigns and activities
  • Support delivery of the charities multimedia communications and case study libraries
  • Under the direction of the Marketing & Communications Manager produce key publications and marketing materials
  • Develop engaging and persuasive content for various marketing materials including social media posts, press releases, website content, newsletters and fundraising campaigns
  • Enhance the internal communications by developing staff and volunteer understanding of the charity's goals, values and impact, and work collaboratively with a number of heads of function to contribute to methods to improve internal communications.
  • To work in accordance with the law, recognised professional guidelines and hospice commitment to equality of opportunity and collective responsibility
  • To maintain good and effective relationships with print and broadcast media based primarily in North Lincolnshire and establish new relationships
  • Use social media to develop real time publicity at hospice fundraising events, selected clinical activities and activities arranged by hospice supporters
  • Be able to work flexibly attending and supporting income generation activities, understanding what drives supporters to do what they do, gathering visual and written content to grow a bank of varied case studies.

Qualifications

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Full driving licence with access to car


Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of office administration encompassing a range of work procedures and practices, and base level of theoretical knowledge within communications field. Experience in copywriting, preferably within a marketing or communications role
