This role will appeal to an individual who has experience of managing a team to deliver exceptional service.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Proactively managing and motivating the team and the shift, engaging colleagues to ensure the best performance
  • Manage the team to achieve targeted daily and weekly Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensure department operates in line with all company and customer procedures and requirements relating to Health and Safety
  • Ensure processes and procedures are adhered to throughout the operation, with exceptional focus on health and safety
  • Encourage a culture of excellent customer service 'right first time' with the team
  • Ensure sufficient resource is available in order to meet performance expectations
  • Responsible for driving high levels of employee engagement
  • Work closely with the Transport team to ensure that all plans are adhered to
  • Ensure that any performance, conduct, or capability issues are thoroughly investigated, and any required resulting actions are completed in a timely manner

The Person**:


  • An experienced manager/ supervisor with customer service focus within in a high volume, time critical warehouse environment
  • Energetic, resilient, and flexible
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan or similar)
  • Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Works well under tight deadlines with a keen eye for detail and a right firsttime approach
  • Experience of Kronos time management and Oracle is an advantage
  • Experience with warehouse KPI management would be advantageous
  • Experience of setting up a brandnew site would be advantageous
  • Able to work shift work, including weekend working (and cover for Nights) will be required
