Job description:
Ground Worker required for cargo and groundworks in the area of REDHILL, EPSOM KT18 6LP UK.
Skills and responsibilities:
- Strong manual skills
- Handle and transport materials (lead) and equipment (shovels, rakes, brooms and handsaws)
- Ability to use hand and power tools (brush cutter, chainsaws, electric clippers or power tillers)
- Operate a motor vehicle to transport materials and equipment, as appropriate, to the position.
- Ability to perform grounds maintenance tasks.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labour tasks.
- Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job such as lifting heavy loads.
- Good handeye coordination
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Health and physical fitness
- Flexibility
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety rules.
Requirements:
- Ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety.
- Residing/living close to the working area is a must.
- Ensure own transport (owing a vehicle is preferred).
Education:
The job does not require a formal education, however, knowledge of the Romanian, Spanish or French languages will be positively valued.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years working as farmworker, labourer or gardener.
Hours:
Your working hours will be a total of 40 hours a week.
Applicants will be expected to work as and when is necessary to meet the needs of the team and your targets.
Salary:
Between £2500 - £3000 per month.
