Shift Equipment Maintenance Engineer
Here at
Impact Recruitment,we are hiring
Shift Equipment Maintenance Engineerfor one of our premium clients based in
Towcester. You will provide Equipment Engineering Support to the
Epitaxy Department.

As well as routine maintenance including
Fault Finding, and
Repair of Production Equipment.This will involve working with specialist tools that process various hazardous chemicals and the use of self-contained breathing apparatus.


Salary:
£35,000 - £40, % shift premium)


Location:
Towcester


Shift:2x 7am - 7pm followed by 2x 7pm - 7am


Days:4 days on then 4 days off


Responsibilities

  • Repair and preventative maintenance of production and support equipment including MOCVD semiconductor processing tools.
  • Work to ensure that PMs are carried out in a fashion to minimise downtime in production, these include items such as phosphorous trap and gas cylinder changes.
  • Suggestion and implementation of equipment improvements.
  • Mentoring shift technicians.
  • Assisting in chemical, gases and spare parts control, chemical fills, and waste management.
  • Assisting with logistics projects such as equipment relocation, cleanroom reorganisation, shipping etc.
  • Provide shift cover when necessary.
  • Liaison with equipment and spare suppliers
  • Develop and deliver preventative maintenance strategies to improve equipment utilisation and availability
  • Adhere to all site safety and environmental procedures
  • Support of site emergency response function

Requirements:


  • Electrical engineering experience including low and high voltage work.
  • Basic understanding of pneumatic systems and the operation & use of PLCs.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment wiring schematics
  • Familiar with the use of hazardous substances
  • Competent with Microsoft office.
  • An HND or Degree in an electrical/mechanical engineering discipline
  • 5 years of experience within primarily, semiconductor wafer fabs and/or the pharmaceutical industry or similar.
  • Electrical qualification such as BS7671 18th edition is advantageous
