James Gray Recruitment are actively seeking a General Foreman in Glasgow on behalf of one of our key clients who are an established contractor in the civil engineering and water sectors.

Our client:

70 years of experience across the UK, working across a number of Joint Ventures, Public-Private Partnerships and alternative forms of contract on wellknown and celebrated projects;
Major projects include £100m roads and bridges, £40m Wind farms and significant marine and water projects;
Wellrespected and successful, our client has secured a substantial contract and are looking for talented and ambitious individuals to join their team;

What you'll be doing:

Direct the work of operatives and subcontractors
Ensure environmental systems are implemented satisfactorily
Contribute to preparation of programme
Plan and order materials and plant to achieve programmes
Keep daily records of work carried out
Ensure that works proceed in accordance with site programmes
Ensure all plant on site is suitable for the task and conforms to current legislation
Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.

What you'll need to be successful:

At least 5 years' experience as a General Foreman;
Valid CSCS, SMSTS, is essential, and Temporary works certificate desirable;
Flexibility on location of work is essential.
