We're looking for a talented Finance Coordinator to join our General Practice Education Group (GPEG) in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care to oversee the finance administration service to coordinate the management of our GPEG finances.
GPEG delivers around 20% of the undergraduate medical curriculum for around 900 students per year via a large programme of seminars and by subcontracting with GPEG's network of 180 GP practices where students are placed.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out financial reporting activities
- Coordinating and preparation of annual budgets and monthly accounts
- Providing financial guidance to Director of GPEG studies and budget holders
- Review current processes and procedures
- Ensure accuracy of financial information
- Process supplier invoices, set up suppliers and raise purchase orders
- Liaise with Practice Managers and GP Teachers
We are looking for someone who is:
- Educated to HND, HNC, level 4/5 vocational qualification or equivalent level of practical experience
- Competent in using standard IT packages Word, Outlook and particularly Excel
- Has experience in an accounts/administrative based environment
- Good oral and written communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Has previous experience of preparing budgets and monitoring income and expenditure

The post is part-time - 22 hours per week over 3 days
Location - Department of Public Health and Primary Care, East Forvie Building, University Forvie Site, Robinson Way, Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Cambridge CB2 0SR (approx 2 miles south of city centre)
