The Department of Psychiatry is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Research Assistant to join the team at the beginning of March 2023 for a short-term research post.

The applicant will be a key part of a study on habit formation in humans and will also be asked to contribute to other ongoing research on biofeedback within the group.

The role of the successful applicant will be to work as a key part of a team engaged in recruitment, screening, and psychological, physical and physiological recording and in the ensuing storage, curation and analysis of data in accordance with principles of general data protection regulation.


The role is ideal for a psychology graduate interested in gaining research experience and the applicant should have experience in running studies on human participants, preferably with some experience using virtual reality.

Due to time pressure, they must be available to start by mid-March 2023.

The post will be appointed initially at the appropriate point on the University of Cambridge's research assistant salary scale.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 December 2023 in the first instance.
