Description
The Norgine Legal Team is a well-respected, entrepreneurial team located in several different European offices.

The Legal Team, including the Patents team, Safety, Health & Environment and Data Privacy, reports directly into the Chief Legal Officer.

It is an integral part of the organisation and the Chief Legal Officer sits on the Executive Committee of the Norgine Group.

The Team helps to drive forward Norgine's strategic priorities of growing our existing portfolio of brands, achieving total business effectiveness, optimising our supply chain, in-licensing innovative products and developing, launching and growing innovative brands.


MAIN PURPOSE


The core responsibility of the Data Protection Coordinator (DPC) is to advise, identify GDPR (and other data protection applicable laws) compliance risks and coordinate the data protection activities with the Norgine's Group Data Protection Manager (DPM), a member of the Global Legal Team (GLT), assisting and supporting all areas of business (Global supporting functions, Products Business Units and various legal entities in multiple jurisdictions).


The role will also comprise activities such as:

  • Support in the execution of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA)
  • Legal and regulatory monitoring on data protection and IT security developments and advise the business
  • Implement Norgine Group's guidelines and activities from a global level to a local level
  • Provide support to the GLT where and when necessary

YOUR PROFILE

  • Fluent in English
  • Master in Law or Business
  • Proven expertise in Data Privacy Law Compliance (specific degree, course or certifications)
  • 23 years' experience minimum in a similar role in an international organisation or in private law practice
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical sector is a plus
  • Passionate about data protection and all privacyrelated issues
  • Strong interest (not necessarily expertise) in information security


  • Excellent communicator

  • Ability to influence, engage and drive results
  • Able to explain complex issues in layman's terms
  • Able to implement legal obligations operationally and practically for the business
  • Selfstarter and passionate about driving projects and "getting things done"
  • Have the ability to solve problems independently, good attention to detail and analytical
  • Travel (mostly in Europe) may be required
