Benefits/Additional Information

  • Salary £16,000 per annum
  • Working hours 8:30am 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8:30am 4:00pm on Friday's.
  • On Friday's we have dress down days. Our office wear is businesscasual so there isn't a need to dress very formal unless there is something important going on.
  • We have gatherings for some events (company meetings, big birthday's etc) where everyone would have a lunch together.
  • We offer a wellbeing subsidy (£300) per annum.
  • We have some team building events (last year we went mini golfing and had a team dinner together)

What's Involved?

  • Working in finance support, you will be responsible for assisting with the accounts receivable and payable ledgers as well as working with the team to keep on top of finance administration and other adhoc tasks. You can expect to see growth as your experience develops. You will learn about finance processes systems, and you will learn to work with Samtec's unique systems and Microsoft Dynamics GP.Learn how to fulfil requests for new customer samples and purchase orders via customer portals, EDI, order entry queue, and the website.
  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the finance posting process.
  • Monitor financial transactions and reports.
  • Process accounts receivable and payable ensuring accurate coding.
  • Learn about both purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Assist with month end finance processes.
  • Help provide information to as part of the audit process.
  • Learn to liaise with customers and suppliers regarding the status of their account, providing necessary information.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team.
  • Carry out adhoc tasks as required.

What do they need from you?

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel would be a distinct advantage.
  • Be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate organisational and follow up skills.
  • Development towards efficient time management skills and being able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work as a team.
  • Ability to meet specified deadlines.
  • Be able to demonstrate flexibility, good customer service, innovation, and ability to look for win/win solutions.
