Role Title - Sales Director - Commercial Banks & InsuranceLocations - London
Grades 12 (For Internal Purposes)
This is a chance to be part of a team, focused on delivering goals by following up inbound leads, and generating new business through client outreach.
The Sales team are responsible for:
Selling to new clients who do not currently subscribe to S&P Global Market Intelligence products and solutions
Selling additional products and solutions into our existing client portfolio
Maintaining excellent customer relationships to promote growth
The Relationship Management team are responsible for:
Growing the client portfolio by negotiating renewals and expanding customer agreements
Uncovering upsell and cross sell opportunity within the portfolio
Focusing on our user base to promote greater usage within the account
Key Roles & Responsibilities
This role involves researching prospective customers, creation of outreach strategies, and identification of sales opportunities, conducting exploratory conversations with potential customers and executing on a growth strategy across an assigned territory.
The role will involve leading negotiations for new sales to meet and exceed objectives.We are looking for:
- Some experience in consultative sales and/or account management additional training will be provided during the onboarding period
- Strong communicators
- People with the ability to create and maintain long term customer relationships
- Selfstarters, able to work on your own initiative
- The ability to manage multiple projects at once and work to deadlines under pressure
- Individuals that have the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders

Our commercial team at S&P Global Market Intelligence will have a track record of success selling into Financial Institutions and are from a broad range of backgrounds.
Every customer within our portfolio is important, a successful member of the team will be able to manage complex deals and discussion with internal and external stakeholders.
