As an Economy Designer will be responsible for determining and understanding what makes our games appealing and enjoyable for our players while looking for ways to optimize our user experience.

You will identify and develop opportunities to drive purchases while retaining and building a healthy player base.

You will be responsible for designing and maintaining game economies, balancing and optimising based on game telemetry, while supporting and analyzing monetisation features.


In your new role you will:

  • Work with game design to build core progression and economy systems to achieve long term player retention
  • Identify potential revenue drivers in the game economy and how they should be used
  • Manage a healthy economy by adjusting sinks and faucets based on game telemetry
  • Create and maintain systems to track player responses to changes and predict results
  • Create and maintain clear and wellpresented game design documentation
  • Work closely with the design & art teams to maximise all relevant game features/assets
  • Regularly feedback to directors/business exec with results, predictions and strategy
  • Suggest game design improvements to the user/customer experience

To be successful you will have:

  • 2+ years experience designing/balancing systems for live games
  • Expert level experience with Excel (or compatible software)
  • Avid gamer with solid understanding of current business models e.g. Freetoplay, GameasaService, Subscription
  • Experience in gathering, analysing and presenting large amounts of data
  • Able to formulate ratios and indexes specific to the game to identify areas for improvement
  • Strong and positive teamoriented attitude to work
