Description

We are looking for a Clinical Tutor to join our busy and friendly Imaging Department at Liverpool Women's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on a fixed term basis for a period of 12 months.


You will be a key member of the Imaging team and you will be responsible for the Trust-wide co-ordination and delivery of clinical ultrasound education.

Ultrasound training is delivered within and outside of the Imaging Department and is delivered to clinicians from a multi-professional background.

You will work closely with the Clinical Lead for Imaging and Lead Sonographer to ensure that highest technical and clinical standards are maintained in ultrasound training.


As part of this role you will be required to act as the deputy to the Clinical Lead as needed.

You will also be required to act as the Clinical Audit Lead for the Imaging Department.


The Clinical Tutor will be involved in the co-ordination and delivery of ultrasound training for ultrasound students, medical staff, nursing and midwifery staff and other relevant health professionals.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that high standards of clinical and theoretical ultrasound education are achieved, ensuring that training, assessment and on-going clinical competency of the trainees is maintained.
