Spinwell is recruiting for a HR Advisor for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HR ADVISOR


The Employee Relations Advisor's main focus is to provide effective, customer focused Human Resources employee relations (ER) advisory service to Leaders within the Trust whilst supporting the Head of ER and Policy with complex cases and day to day operation and development of the ER service in support of promoting a Just and Fair Culture.

Additionally, they will be required to ensure all ER activity is accurately logged and reported on.


The post holder will also be working to support the Partnership with Staff side in respect of the operation of the JSCC, Policy Development and Job Evaluation.


SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE HR ADVISOR

  • Educated to postgraduate diploma attained through a degree in a HR field or equivalent level of experience working at an independent advisor's level
  • Sound knowledge in range of HR and ER areas, e.g. equality and diversity, leadership, finance, management, HR, training and development
  • Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) member
  • Previous experience in employee relations, with examples of working on complex cases and satisfying stakeholders in conflict
  • Evidence of the ability to manage conflict and sensitive situations, acting with tact and diplomacy
  • Previous experience in implementation of HR strategy, change management, and measurement of performance
  • Significant experience in development and execution of staff training programmes
  • Experience in delivering ER initiatives for a large organisation
  • Successful development of stakeholder and communication strategies
  • Previously responsible for provision of HR, ER and specialist advice
  • Evidence of continued professional development with a focus on employment law or HR operations
  • Examples of working well with teams and other departments
  • Previous experience in development and execution of staff training
  • Experience of providing consistent, appropriate, independent advice on HR/ER issues to peers and line managers
  • Report writing & presentations
