Role summary:


As the Traffic Management Planneryou will play an important role in the success of LMEs events by contributing heavily to the operational event delivery across all our event portfolio.

Temporary Traffic Management and road closures is at the heart of what we do, and you will be responsible for liaising with Stakeholders, Contractors, and internal staff to ensure we create a sterile field of play for our participants.


Remit:


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Senior Operations Manager regarding route design and stakeholder management relating to road closures and traffic management.
  • Responsible for producing and delivering traffic management plans and liaising with Operations staff to ensure all plans meet the required standards and timescales.
  • Creation of Temporary Traffic Management plans that support the overall Event Management plan
  • Required to follow projects from initial design stages through to onsite completion and project debrief postevent
  • Attend and lead on site visits with operations team, stakeholders and suppliers for all events.
  • Working with, and managing contracts with suppliers and operational budgets
  • Working with Health & Safety contractors for public, staff and participant safety
  • Work with the wider team to integrate road closure timings with participant flows and infrastructure install & derig across the route
  • Operational role on event days
  • Feed into event debriefs and collate feedback from defined areas of responsibility

Essential skills and experience needed:


  • Good knowledge of London Roads
  • Logistics & Operations Experience
  • Route management skills/experience and event industry knowledge OR Temporary Traffic Management planning experience
  • Confident and able to work autonomously
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Experience with managing budgets and negotiating contracts
  • Work within a large temporary team environment during the event delivery phase
  • Ability to work under pressure in lead up to events
  • Experience in using project management software
  • Very positive and enthusiastic attitude as a team member
  • Highly organised, with a broad skill set and a creative thinker, who can multitask
