Trainee Crane Hire Desk Controller

LOCATION:
Southwater, Horsham, West Sussex.

Southern Cranes and Access are currently recruiting for a Trainee Crane Hire Desk Controller on a full-time, permanent basis.


As the first point of contact, Hire Desk Controllers play a pivotal role in driving our business' success, by building strong customer relationships, understanding their hire needs and ensuring we can meet them.


Training for this role will be provided; the role would suit someone who either has Crane/Plant Machinery knowledge and would like to be on the Hire Desk, or someone with previous Hire Desk experience who has limited Crane/Plant Knowledge as training which covers our equipment will be provided.


Duties Include:


  • You will be responsible for the hire desk and rehire processes including the maintenance and growth of new and existing clients from diverse sectors.
  • Key responsibilities include dealing with hire desk processes, queries, order processing, scheduling and developing rehire business.
  • Checking availability of machines & labour
  • Setting up customer hire contracts.
  • Daily management of labour
  • Must deliver a high level of customer service with a friendly, professional & helpful attitude whilst developing close customer working relationships with new clients and existing customers ensuring that new and repeat orders are managed efficiently.
  • Salary is negotiable depending upon experience.

Desired Requirements:


  • Previous experience on a Hire Desk (not essential).
  • Good knowledge of Mobile Cranes and the Plant industry (not essential).
  • However, the above are not essential as training will be provided.
