We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Specialist Underwriter (Policy Wordings) to join our established and experienced team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.


Your role

As an Assistant Underwriter, you will be responsible for creating and modifying policy wording across many product lines in a timely manner.


You will interact with a wide range of customers within the specialty lines underwriting team, client services, and brokers, as needed.

You will have excellent influencing and communication abilities, especially when presenting the technical aspects of the cover and your drafting reasons.

You will also be required to prepare and offer training as needed.


In addition, you will swiftly identify and escalate any complex problems to more skilled colleagues, as needed, and collaborate with them to provide an exceptional service to the broker or customer.


About you

You will understand the insurance market, possess excellent analytical abilities, a great eye for detail, and a high level of accuracy, as well as the ability to negotiate flexibly and responsibly.

You will have shown success in building strong commercial partnerships and meeting targets. Worked across functions or matrix organizations to collaborate and form solid relationships. Experience with wording across multiple lines of business is advantageous.
