Information Systems Services (ISS) is a dynamic, friendly and supportive division, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join the Faculty IT Team as a Service Management Officer to act as the departments Health and Safety Officer and to manage the University Print Service.

As the Service Management Officer the post-holder will contribute to:

  • Establishing and developing relationships with University colleagues and external suppliers
  • Acting has Health and Safety Officer for Information System Services
  • Secretary for ISS Health and Safety Group
  • Maintain ISS Risk register
  • Carry out Health and Safety Assessments within the ISS Department
  • Provide Advice and Guidance on Health and Safety Matters within the University guidelines
  • Carryout DSE Assessments within the ISS Department
  • Day to Day operational Management of the University Print Service including
  • Supplier and University stakeholder liaison,
  • KPI monitoring
  • Management of Print Service staff
  • Stock Management
  • Managing/ responding to Print service queries and access requests via our 'IT Service Management software'.
  • Continual Service improvement.
  • Liaising with stakeholders across the organisation to collate information and feedback on services offered by Faculty IT


You will be a confident communicator with proven experience of building relationships with colleagues, service management and providing support in an IT environment.

An understanding of risk assessments and carrying out Health and Safety Assessments would be beneficial.

This is a fulltime, indefinite post based on campus.
