Seven Social Care is looking for an Assistant Support Worker to start a new exclusive role in Manchester. This is a temporary contract initially for 3 months with the possibility of placement extension.


The role:


You will work as part of the Supported Accommodation team to provide support to learning disabled adults living in ordinary houses in the community either on a permanent basis or with the Short Breaks service.

You will assist support workers to provide practicaland emotional support to customers that will promote independence and will assist and support other involved parties, to ensure positive outcomes for all customers


Key Responsibilities:

Provide practical and personal support to individuals to maintain high levels of hygiene including personal and intimate care.


Promote equal opportunities in the workplace and deliver services which are accessible and appropriate to the diverse needs of customers in line with the Social Model of Disability.


Respond to the health and social care needs of customers by providing relevant services that promote their independence health and wellbeing including diet, exercise and health Action Plans.

Support the customers to ensure high levels of cleanliness in residential or assessment settings.


Applicant Requirements:


Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role


Compliance:
Up to date enhanced DBS


Hours:35 hours a week
