    Job Description

    We are in search of a Senior Lighthouse Maintenance Engineer (Civil) to oversee the maintenance of specific elements within the Trinity House estate & ensuring they meet the required standards.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Drafting contract specifications and negotiating cost-effective contracts for civil maintenance.
    • Evaluating contractors' technical suitability for Trinity House civil projects.
    • Guaranteeing compliance with CDM guidelines for all estate-related work.
    • Acting as the Trinity House Client, overseeing on-site contractors to ensure work aligns with agreed-upon standards and maintains high quality.

    Requirements

    To be successful in this role you should ideally have:

    • An experienced building maintenance practitioner able to work unsupervised, including in selecting and managing building contractors.
    • Understanding of management information systems.
    • A thorough working knowledge of the HSE requirements as relating to the construction and building industries, in particular those relating to CDM.
    • A level 4 qualification in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience.
    • A NEBOSH CDM Certificate.
    • A Full driving licence.
