Pertemps managed solutions has been engaged by a world leading FMCG organisation to support a key hire within their packaging team.

This role will be based in Slough with some remote work available. The role is responsible for insight development, design,development and translation of packaging innovation within project teams.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the design, development and translation of new and innovative packaging concepts. To develop consumer relevant value added packs, ensuring that the pack design meets the global consumer insights and are fitting the business strategy andneeds with a high quality Packaging in a timely and cost effective way is the key output form this role.
  • Ensures that the packaging development for extending core, and breakthrough product designs are delivered for the brands and that they are designed to meet the brand KQA's.
  • He or she creates the packaging specifications to deliver the desirable KQA's via robust risk management and delivery of shopper, customer and supply chain requirements.
  • Ensures that Packaging quality and Manufacturing quality performance measures standards and corrective actions are specified for each new and current packaging to ensure performance at the required level for all manufactured products
  • Works with crossfunctional teams in a design thinking way of working to deliver new and novel innovation for the brand.
  • To be fully knowledgeable on consumer profiles, brand frameworks, major competitors, markets, process, packaging, quality and Remains abreast of new developments in food technologies, packaging, design, category trends and related fields
  • Initiate and evaluate pilot line trials during development for new Packaging/varieties when existing production lines are not available. This will involve close cooperation with the Factory Innovation teams.
  • Develop suppliers:Working with Commercialto develop both material and creative design suppliers to
  • Able to handle high profile and complex projects at the same time. Also able to startup a project from their own insights / initiative.

Requirements:


  • Sound knowledge in Packaging constructions, materials and machine interaction
  • Sound experience within the snackfood/food industry, with at least 5 years of packaging development experience with a FMCG food company.
  • Demonstrated ability of packaging development, including 1st wraps and overwraps, cartons,and cases expertise.
  • Good knowledge covering food safety and food hygiene programs, packaging, printing and legislation and raw material
  • Good understanding of packaging sciences, packaging development, Packaging legislation and laws, Food processing and production knowledge.
  • Good command of the English language & strong communication skills.
  • Able to set priorities and demonstrate project management skills.
  • Knowing how to manage a diverse group of stakeholders both in demand and supply.
